Product Description
This 17 g/㎡ waxed paper (also known as semi-transparent paper, greaseproof paper) is the lightest grade in the waxed paper family. It features a super glossy surface and 70-80% translucency, delivering a delicate, silky feel while providing excellent greaseproofness and air impermeability. Bleached sulfate chemical wood pulp undergoes high-viscosity refining and heavy sizing to achieve high tensile strength and tear resistance at this extremely low basis weight. Available in sheets or rolls.

17g waxed paper is produced using bleached sulfate softwood chemical pulp, processed through high viscosity refining and heavy sizing. The refined slurry is formed on a thin paper machine into a uniform web, then subjected to supercalendering on a multi-roll calender at high temperature and pressure. The intense glossing process creates an extremely smooth, glass-like surface on both sides. No wax dipping is used – the gloss is achieved purely by mechanical high-pressure polishing.
