Designed for applications requiring visual distinction, yellow glassine paper combines all technical properties of standard glassine – density ≥1.00 g/cm³, smoothness ≥600s, oil absorption ≤1.1 g/m² – with a vibrant, uniform yellow tone. The color is integrated throughout the paper (not just surface-coated), ensuring no rub-off or fading during coating, die-cutting, or dispensing. Ideal for color-coded release liners, warning labels, medical device packaging, and high-visibility interleaving. Made from 100% bleached sulfate wood pulp, free of fluorescent agents, and fully recyclable.

Food-grade, non-migrating yellow dye (or pigment) is added during pulping or at the size press stage. The base pulp – 100% bleached sulfate softwood and hardwood – is refined to high fibrillation (beating degree 22-30°SR). AKD sizing (1.5-2.0%) and cationic starch (0.8-1.0%) are blended. The colored slurry is formed on a fourdrinier wire, pressed, and pre-dried. PVA surface sizing (4% concentration, 15-20 kg/ton) seals the surface. Supercalendering with 10-12 alternating steel and fiber rolls at 80-120°C and 300-500 kN/m linear pressure produces density ≥1.00 g/cm³ and a mirror-smooth finish on both sides. The color is uniform throughout the cross-section, resistant to silicone coating solvents, and will not transfer to adhesive or labels. Moisture balanced for 24-48 hours, then slit to customer widths.
