Process Introduction
Wood pulp (cellulose content ≥90%) is directly dissolved in aqueous NMMO (N‑methylmorpholine N‑oxide) at 85‑95°C under vacuum. The homogeneous solution is extruded through a die, passes an air gap, then coagulates in cold water to form a transparent film. Solvent is recovered (>98%) via rectification and recycled. The film is washed, dried at 80‑100°C, and slit. No plasticizers or sulfur by‑products – fully biodegradable.
